Zu Leben und Werk: Born in Surrey, she studied at Kingston School of Art 1957-61, the RA Schools 1961-4, and was Rome Scholar in Engraving 1965-7. She worked in Hayter’s Atelier 17 in 1967, and is now a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers, and a member of the Printmaker’s Council. A painter in oils and watercolours as well as etcher, her works is highly abstracted, with fragmentary images evocative of the circus, the night, the foliage and furnishings of gardens and other themes. She regularly exhibits at the RA, the New Ashgate Gallery and elsewhere nationally and internationally; she has won many awards for painting and printmaking. The Ashmolean, Oxford, the Graves Art Gallery, Sheffield and many other public collections possess examples for her work.
