Schinnerer (in both 1909 and 1910) was awarded the Prix de Rome. In the early twentieth century his fine prints and paintings were extensively exhibited in Italy, France, Austria and Germany. In 1920 Adolf Schinnerer assumed the post of Professor of Art at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Munich. His art is presently represented in public museums in Cologne, Fribourg, Munich and elsewhere.
